Passionate about sustainable entrepreneurship, Jan drives Aurinko Energy forward with innovative ideas. His responsibilities include: the long-term growth of Aurinko Energy, the development of business strategies as well as long-term partnerships with the companies. He structures processes and takes charge of the organization to achieve the set business goals.
Christof Stoffel
With over 30 years of experience in the field of plumbing and as one of the first in the field of installations of solar panels in Valais, Christof is responsible for the technical aspects. He takes care of planning, installing as well as the sustainable support of the solar systems.

Hello, my name is Jan and I am together with Christof the founder of Aurinko Energy. Let me tell you the story of our company. It all started in the spring of 2021, when I bumped into the lively Frenchman Alexander in a beach bar in Costa Rica. After a few beers and a conversation about God and the world, we decided to travel the country together. During a bike ride along the coast of Puerto Viejo, Alexander told me about his solar project. He uses the potential of the sun and produces solar power on through partnerships with companies on other people's roofs. This idea sounded very plausible, just bathed in sweat under the brooding Caribbean sun.
Back in Switzerland, the idea of using solar energy myself kept me going. I sat down and worked out a concept to apply the strategy in my hometown that had been used by my friend. With electricity prices skyrocketing in 2022, it was the ideal time to start my business. All I needed now was a business partner who knew the solar industry and could take care of the technical aspects.
I quickly came across Christof Stoffel, owner of VS Solarstrom AG. Christof, as one of the first installers of photovoltaic systems in Valais, quickly made a name for himself and developed into a successful businessman. Over a coffee together in sunny Valais, we immediately recognized the potential of a collaboration. It quickly became clear - we would start a joint company. A company with the goal to let SMEs profit from lower electricity prices and to contribute to a sustainable future.
